  • Style and Trend
  • Finance
  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Product Development
  • Marketing
  • Retail Planning

Sample of Project Assignments (from previous internships) include:

Leverage the Brown Shoe children’s brands in our Famous Footwear stores. Interns spent six weeks in our Wholesale Children’s division, followed by six weeks in Famous Footwear’s Children’s Buying area. They worked on proposals to leverage the children’s area of both wholesale and retail divisions.

Work on the social media campaign for a new brand. Interns spent time in our Wholesale Naturalizer division, followed by time in our Social Media department. During this project, interns worked on leveraging social media for a developing brand.

Along with the project assignments, interns are provided many opportunities to learn about various business areas within Brown Shoe: Product Development, Sourcing, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Customer Service, Asset Management, Human Resources, and Strategic Planning.
